Into Business with Certax Accounting

A step-by-step insight to what is involved.

Training

Your initial training comprises a fully structured course, with attendance at our headquarters in Derbyshire, sandwiched between time spent in home study. The detailed syllabus addresses all the aspects you will be dealing with and includes:

Business and Personal Taxation
Accounts preparation
Marketing
P.A.Y.E., V.A.T. and Book-keeping
Day-to-day office practice

Towards the end of the training programme, so as to further prepare you to handle your own client workload, you will spend time working on actual "live" cases at one of our offices, with the assistance of a trainer.

When you return and open for business in your local area, you will continue to receive close guidance as you get started. During training, you will be issued with a complete set of Certax Accounting Manuals, to which to refer to on business matters.

Setting Up

One of the advantages of being a Certax Franchisee is that commercial premises are not initially required and, in the same way as Keith Bradshaw began, you can operate from home. You simply need a room as a private office and for meetings with clients.
A summary of office equipment and other requirements will be made clear prior to the training course. In due course, as your practice grows, you may have to plan to move into separate offices.
